What is the Platform Programme?
The Platform Programme is a unique initiative created to provide aspiring theatre performers with professional experience in a supportive and creative environment. Designed to bridge the gap between training and professional work, this programme allows emerging talent to audition, rehearse, and perform in a fully staged musical production.

Following the success of Spring Awakening at Phoenix Arts Club in 2024, the programme has expanded to The Union Theatre in 2025 with an exciting new production of Bare.

How It Works
The Platform Programme is structured to replicate a professional theatre experience, ensuring participants gain industry-standard skills and exposure:

• Audition Process: Applicants go through a professional audition and casting process, preparing them for real-world industry expectations.

• Rehearsal Period: A two-week intensive rehearsal process led by up-and-coming and experienced creatives.

• Performance Run: Participants perform in a fully staged production at The Union Theatre, an established venue known for championing new and emerging talent.

• Industry Exposure: The programme provides a valuable networking opportunity, allowing participants to work with professionals and gain first-hand experience in a professional theatre setting.

Sponsorship & Support
We are committed to making the Platform Programme as accessible as possible. Participants pay a £400 fee, which covers rehearsal space, professional coaching, and production costs. To support emerging talent, we actively seek business sponsorships to help cover costs for those who may need financial assistance.
